South Africa Bitcoin wallet, $ 18 million raised

Centbee, a South African Bitcoin company, raised 18.3 million ringgit from Ayre Ventures in the Aire investment round.

"CentBee has a track record of making Bitcoin easy to use and accessible for everyone, including merchants and consumers," said Calvin Ayre, founder of Ayre Ventures.

"They have been able to support the original Bitcoin protocol in the form of a Bitcoin SV and have demonstrated the outstanding ability to attract users and we are proud to support greater growth."

CentBee is a Bitcoin wallet supplier that makes it easy for consumers to purchase, store and use Bitcoin with retailers and other merchants.

The company was founded by co-CEOs Lorien Gamaroff and Angus Brown, and now the company's app allows users to purchase more than 50,000 Bitcoin SVs in South Africa.

"We will help people move their money across the border to help their families and friends, simply and cheaply," Brown said. "This investment will be used for product development, expansion and growth."
