The emergence of Jonathan Chey, co-founder of Irrational Games Blue Manchu has a bold claim to Void Bastards, an "innovative new strategy shooter." In this strategy, an alien space ship across the Sargaso nebula is thrown endlessly into captivity.
The problem is that we've seen some of these ideas before (not affecting whether the game is good or not). On the Roguelite side, you saw that you were simply returning under your control with a new detainee. Shaded graphics and fairly funny apparent weapons remind us of Borderlands. I simply want to buy again when I book a ticket. It seems to bring all of your ideas along with the elements of the free-form Immersive Sim genre that can be fun. It can be easily released if it is stylish and nicely adjusted.
The game, released on weekend XO18, will be released on PC and Xbox One early 2019 and will be included in the Xbox Game Pass when it launches.
