Vodacom is in the process of digital conversion, requiring the skills and expertise required to automate large amounts of data, artificial intelligence and robotics processes.
The company says MyBroadband lacks these three technologies not only in South Africa but also around the world.
The company does its best to acquire these skills, but when dealing with scarcity, it is working with partners to maintain their own support.
What Vodacom is looking for in this candidate
As technology becomes an integral part of Vodacom's recruitment process, the company is looking for great cultural fit.
"We look for people who are excited about driving business change and influencing society," Vodacom said.
"We look for people who have the potential to identify and match our organization's connectivity goals for a better future."
Advice for job seekers
Vodacom's advice to job seekers is to wonder about the future and think about the impact on society.
"Make a deliberate choice to work with people who are deeply interested in making a difference in the enterprise, the individual or the society," Vodacom says.
Vodacom added that deliberate attempts to continue learning and reskilling herself were a good way to stay ahead in the skills game.
