UFC 230 results, highlights: Daniel Cormier introduces Derrick Lewis to keep the heavyweight title

NEW YORK – With Derrick Lewis's great right hand, UFC double-champion Daniel Cormier assured him not to give him the chance.

In a clinical performance that severely puts the gap between class and technical skills between the two riders, Cormier submitted the first defense of the heavyweight title on Saturday in the second round on the UFC 230 Main Event.

Despite the fact that every time Madison Square Garden took her favorite favorite Lewis, Cormier was still mocking and grinning, while "The Black Beast" finally put her back and immediately pulled her back naked hips 2: 14 in the 2nd round.

Cormier (22-1, 1 NC), who joined Conor McGregor in July when he became the second fighter of UFC history and held two world championships at the same time, became the first fighter.

– Two belts on each shoulder. Cormier said. – Thank you for blessing Dana White, I thought I was getting one.

"History of the Child, like Jon Anik, my people, history, Daniel Cormier, is one of the greatest in times."

The fight was never doubtful as Lewis (21-6, 1 NC), who entered the Octagon just 28 days after the return of Alexander Volkov, had hoped for the defensive defense and ground play against the former Cormier Olympics. Of course, it is not surprising as the 33-year-old Lewis had been filling the reporters' notebooks for weeks that he was only a fighter and a non-martial artist.

Outside his only right hand, Lewis landed in the second round as Cormier tried to secure a one-legged defeat, Lewis fought behind his back, with short bows and punches.

"Do you know what surprised me?" When I started the last shot, he hit me in the hole and blinked for 30 seconds: "What the hell was that?" Cormier said. "Everything he did was enormous, I like Derrick Lewis, I love Instagram, and I was proud to share the Octagon with him."

Cormier, 39, who is still closer to G. O.A.T. in the history of the MMA he talked about the differences when confronted with him.

"I think many people have to understand that I've done nine years and have fought at least eight in the league, so I have no surprise," Cormier said. "I came here to do it and you have to be one of the best fighters in the world to compete and Derrick was not unhappy with that challenge."

The easy victory has kept the likelihood that Cormier's next fight on his career-high payday will be a pay-as-you-go bonus from champion Brock Lesnar in early 2019. Lesnar, 41, will be entitled to return to USADA's suspension in January, due to an unsuccessful drug test at 2016 UFC 200.

Lesnar, currently part-time at WWE, has regained the Universal Wrestling Promotion Championship on a Friday at an event in Saudi Arabia.

"Brock Lesnar, when you come, bring this brand new WWE title because I feel I'm a WWE Champion," said Cormier. "Bring it to your belt when you come to me."
