A body found in rural Strathcona County, ruled murder case

The RCMP Major Crime Department said a person killed in a rural building in Strathcona County on Thursday was a victim of a murder.

Police confirmed the death to Sherwood Park's 25-year-old Gursumeet Singh Brar following an autopsy of a Chief Medical Officer (CTO) in Edmonton on Friday.

The investigation is proceeding with the help of the RCMP forensic identification section and the Strathcona County General Investigations section, RCMP Cpl said. Chris Warren.

The RCMP said there is no danger to public safety.

Police found a carcass at a rural building on road 231 in Highway 14 and 23 in Strascona County after receiving a 911 call at 8:34 am on Thursday.
