LOS ANGELES (AP) – The Los Angeles Lakers lost two games in Tuesday's night game after losing the left-wing groin injury in the third quarter. James scored 17 points, 13 rebounds and five assists. He was injured in a stunning 127-101 defeat of the Golden State Warriors.
James attempted to catch the ball at third base at 7:51 in the left crotch. He tried to stretch it and walked awkwardly toward the Laker bench.
Shortly after James played, Stephen Curry made three consecutive games, and the Warriors won 78-76 at 2:48 of the third quarter. However, Kyle Kuzma and the Lakers stayed in place. Curry raised 15 points, but home fans watched before the last buzzer and the rest of the Christmas went out.
Kuzma scored 19 points and Ivica Jubak scored 18 points and 11 rebounds. Razorondo had 15 points and 10 assists, and the Lakers lost 11 points in the Warriors' 115 Over Time Winner December 22, 2012. Los Angeles finished the overall skid in seven games, winning the series for the first time since March 6, 2016.
James made it early to shoot Jonas Jerebko and Kevon Looney. James led the Lakers to 52-37 and L.A. to 65-50 in the second quarter at 4:39.
The 99-92 loss to Cavaliers last year was James's second consecutive Christmas game at the Oracle Arena.
Lakers coach Luke Walton (former Warrior's assistant and Steve Kerr's dear friend) had time with the Bill of Bill Hall of Fame prior to the game and had a holiday on the hallway . After two MVPs have finished preparing.
Kevin Durant, who plays in soft left foot ankle, scored 21 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Andre Iguodala, off the bench, handled some of James' defense roads and scored seven out of nine half-time points to reach the season's top 23 points.
Golden State recorded 36 points deep, curry 2 points 8 points, Durant 3 points 8 points.
MCGEE RING DELAYED
Lakers Center JaVale McGee was still sick with a respiratory infection and missed the fifth consecutive game. I did not travel and did not receive the champion ring at the scheduled moment. It will happen on February 2 when Lakers return to Oracle Arena.
McGee was one of the three big men who repeated in the rotation of Steve Kerr.
"I am happy with JaVale, he has a lot of opportunities to be with the Lakers," Kerr said. He was fantastic and it was good to see him here. I wish he was here. Next time I am very happy with him and his success. "
