Fortnite reaches 8.3 million concurrent users

Fortnite is a third person shooter that you can play for free with architects. This title is a unique combination of expressive gameplay and a cultural sense. In February 2018, Epic Games said that the game title is played by about 3.4 million gamers simultaneously. Since then we have not heard much of the game's figures, and many thought that the popularity was influenced by other battle royal titles on the market.

According to the VG247 report, Fortnite has 8.3 million concurrent users. This is tremendously superior to the February figures. Because the numbers were too high and frankly unbelievable, the outlet contacted Epic Games twice to confirm the number.

This tremendous increase can be attributed to Fortnite's mobile port, which has pushed iOS and Android into a storm. There will be millions of gamers using smartphones or tablets. Unfortunately, Fortnite is cheating on almost every platform as it is a problem in almost all multiplayer games.

The console is most affected. Xbox gamers can use XIM adapters to trick an Xbox gamer into thinking that the Xbox One is actually the controller of the mouse and keyboard. This allows certain gamers to target more precisely and use other tricks to execute actions that are not possible with the controller. Fortunately, the company seems to solve this problem because individuals using the XIM adapter are banned.
