The Icelandic team who participated in the Eurovision Song Contest held in Israel surprised participants with the Palestinian flag during the vote.
The move of the team caused some of the participants' anger and embarrassed the organizers of the concert, who pushed the Palestinian flag secretly.
The Eurovision song contest this year was not the freedom of political messages, as the famous American pop singer Madonna (guest to the festival) raises the Palestinian and Israeli flags that spark controversy about social networking sites on the last night of the tournament.
Madonna showed a boy and girl dancing next to her, an Israeli flag in a shirt on the back of a boy, and a Palestinian flag in a girl's shirt.
Madonna urged not to participate in the finals of the "Eurovision" tournament in Tel Aviv as an appearance to make the occupation of Palestinian territory beautiful.
"Music binds people together and comes to Israel because of music, not political reasons."
The organizers strengthened security in showrooms by anticipating the involvement of activists and protesters on stage to neutralize live concerts.
Israel argued that the request for absenteeism in the contest for Tel Aviv residence was discriminatory and anti-Semitic, a claim rejected by Israel's boycott movement.
Israel passed a metal detector and was a thoroughly inspected crowd, deploying armed police around the "Tel Aviv" complex, as well as patrol cars and motorcycles.
