Amor Setar: Kedah lawmaker said yesterday that Dr Abdul Rahman Ku Ismail, a member of the Parliament of Guar Chempedak, quit Umotto and attended the Independence Day People's Congress I got information that I attended.
This announcement was made by Chairman of the National Assembly, Datuk Ahmad Kassim, as soon as he sat down and sat this morning before the oral question session began.
"I was informed of this in a letter yesterday, so his cabinet will change," he said.
Abdul Rahman (62), who is from nearby Yans, defeated Muslim candidate Ahmad in a May general election.
He has been a member of the Barisan National (BN) State Council since 2008 and has been appointed a state exco member from 2013 to 2018.
He holds a Ph.D. in rubber science from Loughborough University, UK and a Political Secretary to Defense Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar from 1997 to 2001. – Bernama
