The plane is piloted for drunk driving

The Japan Airlines airline's Japanese pilot today appeared in court in London after being arrested on Sunday Sunday at Heathrow airport in London due to the BAC limits.

Katsutoshi Jitsukawa (42) admitted he was drunk when he appeared at Uxbridge court on the western part of the British capital on Thursday.

The London Metropolitan Police (MET) stopped the pilot after only 50 minutes of testing the breathing apparatus before heading off to JL44 in Tokyo.

MET, which another employee warned, said that Jitsukawa was almost ten times larger than the pilot-approved BAC, containing 20 milligrams of alcohol at 100 mg of 189 milligrams of concentration.

The Uxbridge court today ordered the Japanese pilot to judge on 29 November in another court.

Japan Airlines has issued a statement in which it apologizes and agrees to "take measures to prevent it from happening again" and emphasizes that "passenger safety" is a "priority". EFE
