"From August 1986 to August 2018, 2,741 cases were recorded in the region, of which 263 were asymptomatic and 478 were considered advanced or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS)," Tumabotabo added. .

Philippine Family Planning Organization (FPOP) -Iloilo program manager Monalisa Diones noted that HIV and AIDS deaths increased.

"The increase in incidents can be attributed to more effective reporting and case discovery," Dioness said.

DOH-6, meanwhile, recorded 278 deaths (20 deaths), the highest number of deaths in Iloilo, and 13 deaths in the state of Iloilo. Bacolod City 11; And Negros Occidental and 7.

DOH will organize campus tours and HIV / AIDS advocacy mission searches at the World AIDS Day celebration on December 1st.
