It seems that not all smartphone manufacturers consider the foldable model as a representative of the future. Even if Samsung, Huawei or Motorola have made their way in this direction, Oppo has come up with new ideas even at the current concept level. Scrollable smartphone.
Oppo X 2021 It was announced at Oppo Inno Days 2020, and I think the technology of this device is (although not more difficult) as challenging as it is used in phones with foldable displays, at least for me.
The device is collectively called Oppo’s Roll Motor and can scale the screen from 6.7 inches up to 7.4 inches. Not many, but it is impressive when you try it for the first time.
The display is powered by two motors applying the same force at the same time, resulting in even placement. Interestingly, the run can be up to 7.4 inches, but it can also stop at other dimensions (such as 7.1 inches).
To support this process, Oppo has developed an additional support called a 2-in-1 plate display. It supports the screen and gives it rigidity throughout use.
The case consists of two parts: a stationary part, an area where you can find hardware components, and a mobile part that helps you run the display.
You can also find Warp Track technology to increase the rigidity of the Oppo X 2021. We are talking about the process of laminating the screen inside with a very thin layer (0.1mm at the thinnest point) made of a special material (Oppo did not specify any kind of material).
The Oppo X 2021 is a new and exciting idea, but we don’t know when we’ve seen the first commercial smartphones with this screen launch technology.
