Johannesburg, South Africa (ADV) – Eswatini Bank of Eswatini donated a $ 2.9 million check to the upcoming Eswatini Bank Cup.
Zakhele Lukhele, managing director of the bank, said the bank is proud to be involved in local football.
"The bank promises to continue to support the future," he added, adding that this year's edition will be as big and interesting as all previous editions.
Checks were received at a recent contest entry at the Royal Swazi Spa Convection Center in Ezulwini.
Harris Bulunga, minister of sports culture and youth affairs, said that if the bank's commitment to hosting the contest is not to be a symbolic competition that transcends national borders and transcends popularity and importance.
"We are grateful to Eswatini Bank's Managing Director and his employees for their efforts to improve football, and our continued partnership with football shows that the Bank is working with the rest of the world to achieve its first position by 2022 "Bulunga said.
Both women and elite men tournaments will be played at the same time as tournaments under the age of 20. The grand opening is scheduled for this Sunday at Somhlolo National Stadium.
The winner of the Eswatini Bank Cup represents the country in the total CAF Confederation Cup.
