The Dutch man is suing the local government in the Netherlands after refusing to change his actual age to the age he reveals. Mercer Morrison of Veuer has the story.
The Dutch asked a Dutch court to change the age from 69 to 49 in order to avoid legal discrimination against age.
Emile Ratelband called herself a "young god." From March 11, 1949, to March 11, 1969, he asked the district court to change his birthday. The BBC reported.
On Thursday, the TV-laden band responded to questions from the Associated Press, saying the petition was not a publicity stunt. He said he would give up his monthly pension if his request was approved.
Raquel Band says his age is holding him unfairly, but I do not want to lie.
"For example, when it comes to mortgage lending, it's impossible." "If I go to tinder, I get a 68-year-old, a 69-year-old woman when she's there."

"When I'm in tinder, when I say 69, I do not get an answer. If I have a face 49, I will be in a luxurious position," the BBC reported. .
Ratelband compared the request to changing the name or gender legally.
He said, "This free choice, choice of name, freedom of gender, I want to have my own age, I want to control myself." Changing his age legally would give him inspiration and hope, he said.
According to Marjolein van den Brink, specializing in human rights and sexuality issues at Utrecht University Law School, age discrimination may be a problem, but it is different from other forms of discrimination that can affect people throughout their lives.
The court is expected to make a ruling in about four weeks.
